Hi! My name is Jessica and I am delighted to join the amazing team of midwives at West Hill Midwifery.

 

I’ve moved to Prince George from Vancouver, where I lived for 12 years and studied midwifery at the University of British Columbia (Class of 2022). Since graduating I’ve had the opportunity to care for families in the West End of Vancouver and over the summer before coming here, I completed a life long dream of bicycling across Canada. Before I knew I wanted to become a midwife, and what feels like a lifetime ago, I had the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Theatre.

 

What I love about midwifery is the opportunity to witness the transformative power of pregnancy and birth. I love getting to know my clients and learning how to care for them in a way that feels meaningful and compassionate.

 

When I’m not catching babies, I enjoy figuring out what I need to recharge and find balance. My hope is that along with lots of sleep, this will include some new hobbies like photography, maybe cross-country skiing and spending time with new friends!
